Modern and artistic piece. It looks wonderful at one end of a modern white console. I am using it as a decorative accessory rather than a fruit holder. Actually I can't imagine it holding fruit since I have the smaller size and very little would fit in it.Highly disappointing. Item looks cheap, and not the quality as advertised.It is sharp and dangerous, and not very pretty. I expected it to be more substantial for the high cost.I purchased this as a gift for my wife. We needed a fruit bowl with a modern flair to hold a colorful assortment of Murano glass fruits. I will add a photo after the holidays. This bowl is heavy weight and highly polished. I'm sure it would also work beautifully with real fruit.I saw this bowl in one of our high street shops and fell in love with it. Puchased it on this site because it was the BEST PRICE ANYWHERE!!! The photo does not do this functional "piece of art" any justice. It is absolutely gorgeous and looks as though it should have cost double or treble the price. Just wish that I hadn't purchased it as a gift for someone....would have loved to keep it for myself!! If you are looking for a very special gift (for someone else or just yourself!)
