Portmeirion Exotic Botanic Garden 6-Piece Fruit Salad Bowl Set with Dragonfly Design – Perfect for Serving Salads, Desserts & Entertaining Guests

These tropical prints are gorgeous! Lovely to be reminded of vacations in warmer climes. These are sized generously, almost as large as the rice bowls in my Villeroy and Boch sets etc. though minus the foot. They are a great size for cereal etc. These are made in the UK and are as beautiful as my other Botanic Garden pieces. I found that the Botanic Roses and these tropical patterns are a creamier base color than my original garden pieces which have a slight greenish tint to them. But these are beautiful added on and you don't really notice the shade difference when you set the table. I added these on since we have more people around on weekends, and I like this more girly feeling china vs the super tough fiesta which is the staple of my all boy(cept for me) household. There were no flaws in the bowls I received, but on the outside or bottoms, I know there are always occasional bumps made by flecks of sand. These are noticeable in all but the bake ware, and across pieces I have from over 15 years ago and bought from various stores too. So its not quite fine china.
